2017 PGA Tour season is about to begin. But the professional golf association released a few changes related to schedule matches and tournaments in the season 2017. The changes that occurred in the 2017 PGA Tour season include:

Safeway Open

Amendment 2017 PGA Tour season that will change beginning with the Safeway Open. This tournament is the beginning of the season-opening event, where the tournament is usually known by the name Frys.com Open. Frys.com Open this year changed its name to Safeway Open. Safeway Open will be held at the Silverado Country Club in Napa, California, United States.

Quail Hallow To Perform Major Tournaments

Fields that typically hold the tournament Wells Fargo Championship, Quail Hollow will host the PGA Championship in 2017, at 10 to 13 August this year. Meanwhile, Wells Fargo Championship will be moved to Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, North Carolina, United States.

WGC Tournament Moving To South

It has long been the news spread that the WGC is typically held at Trump National Doral, will be moved to Mexico. With the move, the name was changed into a WGC event-Mexico Open, and will take place in Mexico Coty, but the field has not been decided.

Back to Riviera

The tour will continue back to one of the favorite stops golfers, at Riviera Country Club in February. Name of the tournament which usually is Northern Trust Open, will be renamed Genesis Open, It relates as Hyundai became the main sponsor. Hyundai Genesis is one of the flagship products of Hyundai.


Birkdale Back Become Interest

In 2017, The British Open will return to Royal Birkdale in Lancashire, England. Winner of this tournament held in the field when it was Padraig Harrington in 2008.
